New SoundCloud Resources!

Grace and peace this Holy Week. We have a very brief update about our new SoundCloud account that we hope you will take time to check out and share with others.

It has been almost four years we helped the student group Milites Christi convene a major conference at Duke University on Veterans Day, 2011. According to the office of News & Communication at Duke, After the Yellow Ribbon was very likely the largest student organized and executed conference in university history! We are amazed at how it’s been talked about in the last few years and we want to make sure it continues to shape the conversation about Christian faith and military service for years to come.

Audio recordings taken during the event, which have been available exclusively on iTunesU, are being moved to the much more user friendly social media network SoundCloud. Rather than expanding the footprint of a student group relegated to a specific campus, Milites Christi has suggested we facilitate the migration and act as the primary host of everything related to #AfterTheYellowRibbon moving forward. We are excited for the collaboration and hope you are too!

Furthermore, conference organizers are in the process of  exploring the possibility of transcribing the presentations and pursuing publication in printed form. We are still in the very early stages of this, and we hope you will consider helping out. If you are willing to transcribe one (or more) of the presentations we would love to hear from you. The work is a bit much for those involved and they can use all the help they can get. Anyone who commits to typing out the contents of a presentation will receive a free copy of whatever printed form it eventually takes. Your name will also appear in print in the acknowledgment section of the final product.

Well, that’s it! Check out the embedded tracks below to see what we’re talking about, or email us if you can help out. Have a blessed Holy Week and may peace be with you and yours.
